To monitor how your blog is being viewed, consider using StatCounter. It's free unless you want to pay for the glorified version.
It shows how many hits you get and who (not identities but IP # and ISP info) and location, what the search phrase was etc. How long they stayed and page views. It will give you a good idea what is popular on your blog and how people are finding it.

Again, it is free and it will take about 10 to 20 minutes to set up. And No, I am not in any related to StatCounter, just a user and I found it useful and interesting on my blog. BTW in case you haven't guessed, I am Henry from the book club.
